First, this should probably have gone to amanda-users, and not
amanda-hackers, but that nit aside, my guess is the upgrade
"upgraded" your /etc/inetd.conf file and you will need to put
back the entries for amandad, etc.
Please direct further discussion on this to [EMAIL PROTECTED],
and not to amanda-hackers.
