Hello:
Does anyone know if and what changer works with the Exabyte EZ17 7 tape
changer with the mammoth2 drive?
We are using Freebsd and the dmesg output for the drive is:
ahc0 <Adaptec 2940 Ultra SCSI host adapter> rev 1 int a irq 10 on pci0:9:0
ahc0: aic7880 Wide Channel, SCSI Id=7, 16 SCBs
ahc0 waiting for scsi devices to settle
(ahc0:0:0): "EXABYTE EXB-210 1.07" type 8 removable SCSI 2
ch0(ahc0:0:0): Medium-Changer 7 slots, 1 drive, 1 picker
(ahc0:1:0): "EXABYTE Mammoth2 v02r" type 1 removable SCSI 2
st0(ahc0:1:0): Sequential-Access density code 0x28, drive empty
amtape shows when using chg-chio
:
operator@hades [1:27pm] /usr/local/etc/amanda/master > amtape master show
amtape: scanning all 7 slots in tape-changer rack:
slot 1: date 20010124 label VOL1
amtape: could not load slot chio:: /dev/ch0: CHIOMOVE: Invalid argument
and when using chg-scsi shows
operator@hades [1:27pm] /usr/local/etc/amanda/master > amtape master show
amtape: scanning all 7 slots in tape-changer rack:
slot 1: date 20010124 label VOL1
amtape: could not load slot chio:: /dev/ch0: CHIOMOVE: Invalid argument
In the dmesg output
ch0(ahc0:0:0): ILLEGAL REQUEST asc:3b,90 Vendor Specific ASCQ
ch0(ahc0:0:0): ILLEGAL REQUEST asc:3b,90 Vendor Specific ASCQ
# chio params
/dev/ch0: 7 slots, 1 drive, 1 picker
/dev/ch0: current picker: 0
appreciate any help.
