amcheck (from 2.4.1p1) fails as follows...

bsd security: remote host seawifs.bigelow.org user amanda local user amanda
amandahosts security check passed
amandad: running service "/usr/lib/amanda/selfcheck"
amandad: sending REP packet:

user amanda is a member of groups disk, users and operator

ls -la of /dev shows

drwxr-xr-x 11 root root 98304 Jan 25 08:12 /dev

and ls -la of /dev/sda2 (all the others are the same).

brw-rw---- 1 root disk 8, 2 Aug 24 05:00 /dev/sda2

I've tried changing the group and mod of /dev to disk and 775
respectively with no change in the results. Clearly I'm missing
something obvious, but I can't figure out what...

In the event that it matters (it probably does :-), this amanda is from
the RedHat 7 RPMs (not the source RPMs, the pre-built ones).

Thanks!
Bruce
