I have the dumpcycle of 5 set mainly to affect the balance calculation, in
most of my dumptypes (except for the "biggies") pushed out to 14. The goal
is to get amanda to promote the "biggies" rather than discard them until
they are due based on the balance size. Since the "biggies" also tend to
be the important file systems, I'd rather have the lower dump cycle for
them.
Eventually I could work towards patching planner to consider the dump
cycle of each file system rather than using the default value (yes I know
the balance calc actually uses an estimated runspercycle currently).
