Another, but i hope the last question belongs to amanda.
I use amanda for backup 2 Linux PC's (one as Server and Client, and one
installed only as client). Then i have a NT Workstation PC. When i backup up
files on all 3 PC's with dumptype comp-user-tar backup works fine. When i
change the dumptype for the Linux PC's e.g. to comp-user i get the error
messages
/inst lev 0 FAILED [disk /inst offline on tux2?]
I read in the FAQ, that the possibillity is a filesystem error. The system
works fine and the dump with the dumptype comp-user-tar runs without
mistakes. The size is not so big (2 GB Partition, 4 GB HDD). I start fsck
and found some problems on /inst (Superblock). But i can't believe, that it
depends on the file system. I have the same errors on 2 different clients
just when i change the dumptype. Very strange!!!! Does anybody have an
Ideas???
Thank you very much
With kind regards
Frank
