./configure sounds like a good idea, because 'dumpdates' is part of
the dump-Package and dump should be already installed when compiling
amanda.
BTW: I've checked some Linux distributions (SuSE, RedHat, Slackware,
debian), Free- & NetBSD, debian is the only one with dumpdates not
in /etc.
