I read something about the .amandahosts file here. I found in the amanda
man page
about the config file parameters:
dumpuser "string"
Default: backup. The login name Amanda uses to run
the backups. The backup client hosts must allow
access from the tape server host as this user via
.rhosts or .amandahosts, depending on how the
Amanda software was built.
Thats the normal behaviour of an ....hosts file, but I can't find any on my
client. Why does the amanda server (2.4.1) back him up properly without having an
.amandahosts file?
