hello, thanks to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and [EMAIL PROTECTED]!! anyway, it doesn't work. i didn't upgrade amanda-2.4.1p1-157 yet, because it worked in an other system. and i'm also running it as user amanda with the message "ERROR: saturn.systemelektronik.de: port 1024 not secure"! the /etc/services was set right like: amanda 10080/ udp amandaindex 10082/ tcp amidxtape 10083/ tcp after initialising the script patch-system and kill -HUP <pid>, these settings were deleted. at the end of the /etc/services was new entry amanda 10080/ for any more advices many thanks!!!!! after trying <amcheck DailySet> as superuser i received this message: >>>>>>>>>>>> Amanda Tape Server Host Check ----------------------------- /dumps/amanda: 8916324 KB disk space available, that's plenty.
