Ok, thanks for all your help today, John, Yuri, Joshua and Christoph. :o)
I'm going to try using amrecover on a different machine, try using a different
tape, and a few other things to make sure this is really a bad tape drive I've
got here. It's a HP-T20 Surestore that's about two years old. Hopefully
this is just a bad tape :o)
