It is because the machine is multihomed and forward DNS lookup does not
match the reverse one.
You either have to put an additional record in forward zone with
different name and change reverse for 209.47.145.4 with that new name
like this:
thor-backup IN A 209.47.145.4
4 IN PTR thor-backup.tht.net
or (easier way) add a record for the backup server in /etc/hosts on the
client machine:
209.47.145.4 thor.tht.net
I assume the resolver on the client machine checks /etc/hosts first.
