I tried, but it didn't fix the problem: possible
reason being, in the same dump cycle, amanda backed up
all the other disks EXCEPT for / - and / is listed at
the top of the disklist.

could it be that linux treats / partition (and
therefor the disk that / belongs to) treats
differently, as a result it doesn't let amanda "read"
it?
