Dear colleagues,
This is a suggestion of a possible improvement for amanda.
To check if the tape cartridges are in the tape unit, just
before starting the transfer to the tape of the backup files
recorded on the disk, instead of doing this check of the very
beginning of the backup session.
Looks like this check is being performed at the very beginning
of the backup operation. So, if for any reason the tape cartriges
are inserted a few minutes right after the backup have started,
amanda will not use the tapes and write the backup files only to
the disk.
