amrecover: Unexpected server end of file

Hi, i think this is a typical question, but i can't use amrecover.
When i run amrecover on the client it returns:

'AMRECOVER Version 2.4.2p2. Contacting server on localhost ...
amrecover: Unexpected server end of file'

There is an article in the FAQ-O-Matic but it doesn't help me.
Can you?
