This one has me a bit confused. Here are the hostnames
samba2 = 10.0.2.201
samba = 10.0.1.3
homer = 10.0.1.2

and this is the error I receive:

 Amanda Backup Client Hosts Check
 --------------------------------
 ERROR: samba2: [addr 10.0.1.2: hostname lookup failed]
                       ^------ Not the IP for samba2. wtf?

Also, does that error have anything to do with this:

 NOTE: info dir /var/log/amanda/DailySet1/curinfo/samba2: does not exist
 NOTE: index dir /var/log/amanda/DailySet1/index/samba2: does not exist

Why can't amcheck see the host samba2 using the name "samba2" even though I
can ping "samba2" from the machine which amanda is running on?
Thanks,
