I can think of two solutions off the top of my head:
* This may be one of those cases where you have to put actual disk
names in the Amanda disklist instead of mount points. That's
certainly not what I prefer to do, but it might be required with
your software combination.
That will mean swapping a bunch of things around (curinfo, index
files, paths in the log files, etc). I posted another letter today
about the places you'll need to change.
* Contact the Tru64 people and ask them what they had in mind for this
situation (it's really their problem, not Amanda's). Tell them you
want to run dump with a mount point, not a disk name (leave Amanda out
of it to avoid confusing them), and that with the failover software,
that does not appear to be possible. Yes, you know you could enter
a device name. You don't want to. Fix it. :-).
