Since you mentioned ufsrestore, are you running on Solaris? I have a
vague memory from quite a while ago about this problem and my only guess
is that it's a ufsdump/ufsrestore problem. Are you up to the latest
patch level on them?
I'm searching through my personal archive of the mailing list to see
what I can find. I'll get back to you when I turn up anything.
