Hiyas all,
I know y'll must be tired of this issue by now, but I've
searched the archives and looked everywhere and couldn't make it work.

Hardware: E250
Tape Library: L280

        I tried to use amanda-2.4.2p2/contrib/sst. Used gcc-2.95.2.
Installed it in /usr/kernel/drv along with sst.conf and an entry
in /etc/devlink.tab. I get "Driver sst successfully added to system
but failed to attach".

Tried stctl-1.3b as well. cp stctl /usr/kernel/drv and
stctl64 to /usr/kernel/drv/sparcv9 (conf files in the drv).
Appropriate entries in /etc/devlink.tab as well. Still fails on
attach.

Do I have to compile sst using a 64 bit gcc compiler,
if so, which version of the snapshots do I use (and what options
do I give it?)

        Thanx for any help.
