Greets everyone-
I am having a problem with amanda. It complains that my weekly backups
are running out of tape and fail to write the last partition. I am using
a DLT-7000 which has 35/70Gb tapes. Looking at the summary, I see that my
dump is 28657.5Mb. Surely the last parition should be compressed enough
to fit on the remaining 7Gb. Another oddity is that when the last
partition fails, it says it will perform the dump to disk, yet, when I go
to flush the failed disk, it isn't in the holding disk. It has happened 2
weeks in a row now. So, my questions are: 1. Why would the last disk
fail?? And 2. Where is the disk that failed??
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I hope I have provided enough
information.
This is the output from one of my weekly reports:
