map bits from windows to samba/amanda

Hello,

I've configured my samba/amanda - server to backup of win NT clients. When I
look into the tar file which was created. There are no exec bits set. 
As you probably know, these bits are mapped to the archive, system and
hidden bit to windows. 
So, is there a way to save these bits with amanda and samba? And for me more
important is there a way to restore the files with the bits they had before
the were backed up?
