Is that a non-rewinding tape device? It doesn't look like one, but, then
again, I don't know *BSD. amanda needs to use a non-rewinding tape
device.

Once you have your regular setup working, clone it into a new one (using
separate directories for everything, e.g. logdir, curinfo, etc.). For the
new Archvie setup, set dumpcycle equal to 0, and record to no. Run that
whenever you want a snapshot.
