Nope, not even then. Even though docs/MULTITAPE was written on 1994,
as a future enhancement place, this feature isn't available in any
official release of Amanda yet. There's a CVS branch in which JJ has
developed this feature, and last time I heard it was working
reliably. Perhaps you'd like to give it a try?
