Since a few weeks I have serious problems backing
up a remote system (Cobalt server) with my Sun Solaris 2.6 machine.
I backup different machines and different directories on each machine. all machines (including the cobalt) backup well, except for two directory branches on the Cobalt (the other one of three does backup, so network connection is not the problem!) If some information is missing in this message to
solve the problem, let me know, I will provide the information
asked..
Up to last week only one of three branches gave errors like amanda report below: btw. the amcheck results reported no errors... ------------------- <amanda dumpreport message>

The system is a Cobalt Raq4 machine running Linux
(which is essentially Red Hat).
It all has worked before.. I don't see why it
shouldn't work anymore..
Can I delete indexfiles and infofiles which are
stored on the Sun backup machine? could that be the problem?
The connection between machines is going over
internet. All machines being backupped in above messages are behind the same
firewall, so there are no different settings for the machines to be
backuped.
Can one give me any hint to solve this
problem? I am not that familiar to amanda to know what to do and what
don't.
Thanks in advance
Robert
