Me, too :-).  You wouldn't believe the crap I have to do every single
day to deal with this problem.

Slowly, between my "real" job and all the time I spend "helping" (well,
that's what *I* call it :-) folks on this list.  I just need to buckle
down and code for a few days and maybe ignore my E-mail.  I already have
all the notes on specifically what needs to be done.

Not yet, but there is a branch dedicated to it, amanda-242-multitape.
So that's where the changes will be placed (as well as in the main
2.5 trunk).  When it's anywhere close to Alpha state, I'll post something.
