I think what Olivier was suggesting is that you change that to
"/dev/sda1".  Or, what I would do, is use the mount point, "/".

What does the "/" entry look like in /etc/fstab?

Is the client also running 2.4.1p1 or is it running something newer?
What OS and version is the client running?
