hello everyone,
i think i've almost got amanda configured to work with my changer 100%. i
can load and unload tapes via the amtape command. specifying which slot i
want to load also works flawlessly. however, if i try and run an `amtape
<conf> show`, i get errors as it tries to read each tape (i.e.):

i can see the changer loading and unloading each tape as it spits each error
out. i labeled all of the tapes individually this morning, so i know they
are labeled and they also exist in the tapelist file. it seems as though the
problems occurs whenever i try to issue a command that accesses multiple
tapes in the device.
if i do an `mtx -f /dev/sg0 status`, you can see that the slots are full of
tapes except for slot 7:

i'm a bit confused as to why i can tell amtape to pull tapes to and from any
slot in the changer flawlessly, but when i try to do an `amtape <conf> show`
or any command that tries to read all of the labels in all of the slots in
one shot, i get errors.

i'm attaching my changer.conf and amanda.conf files as well. i'd really
like to get the changer working properly before i move forward, but i'm
getting close to being frustrated at this point. help!
someone please point me to what i'm doing wrong.. thanks.
