I don't understand what you did. The patch I sent is not in CVS. You
need to apply it to your 2.4.2p2 sources.

Cd to the top level of your Amanda source tree (the one with the
configure script). Put the patch file from my letter someplace, e.g.
/tmp/stream_client.diff. Then run "patch < /tmp/stream_client.diff.
Now, run "make distclean", then start the Amanda build over again from
./configure ... and re-install at least on the client.
