Hi,
We would like to use amanda to back our systems up to other hard drives.  >From what I can glean from various
emails and documents, it seems that the branch of amanda known as amanda-242-tapeio is capable of
doing this.  I downloaded this software yesterday, and did autogen, configure, and make.  The make bombs
in tape-src with the following:

bin/sh ../libtool --mode=compile gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I../config -I../common-src  -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64     -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -g -O2   -c output-tape.c
gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I../config -I../common-src -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -g -O2 -Wp,-MD,.deps/output-tape.pp -c output-tape.c -o output-tape.o
output-tape.c: In function `tape_tape_open':
output-tape.c:480: `TAPE_BLOCK_BYTES' undeclared (first use in this function)
output-tape.c:480: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
output-tape.c:480: for each function it appears in.)
make: *** [output-tape.lo] Error 1

From looking at the source and the config.log, I am making a guess that the problem
is related to the lack of sys/tape.h on my linux system.  Does anyone know if this is really
the problem?  Any ideas on how to get around this?

Thanks,

dail
