I didn't quite understand the E-mail report. I don't see anything in
it about *why* /usr failed to write to tape. And tha amdump.<nn> file
you sent is truncated. Did the run abort or was the machine rebooted?
Maybe what you got was the result of an amcleanup done afterward?

What *.tar.gz files are you expecting to find? Amanda does not store
images that way. You might want to read:
