Hi all; I've been in the configuration phase, doing test backups for about a week now, both at home on a changer and here at the office on a T4000s. Unforch, I think on my office machine, I've been bit by a bad tar, 1.13.17 to be exact. So I got 1.13.19 from rawhide just now, along with the new glibc-2.2.4 libraries and installed them all. Was tar-1.13.17 a known troublemaker? In other words, are the backups currently on hand, made by tar-1.13.17 all trashed? Cheers, Gene
