40 is not big. I used to run a system with over 80, but I don't
believe that is big, either. Perhaps 80 is medium. I have no doubt
there are folks here with disklist running into the hundreds. I
think you need to look for a different source of your problem.
To start with, what exactly is the problem you are experiencing?
