Replying to myself here, smbclient isn't your issue. Amanda can't even talk to backup. Make sure you've done the appropriate inetd/xinetd magic, restarted the appropriate daemons, opened up tcp wrappers/ipchains, etc. In short, go throught the FAQ-o-matic suggestions for this error. -- Joshua Baker-LePain Department of Biomedical Engineering Duke University
