I've gotten them too.  I checked one duplicate pair and found that one came
directly from surly.omniscient.com and the other came by way of
guiness.omniscient.com four days later.  Looking through my saved messages from
the list it looks like all the older messages came directly from surly and the
newer messages came through guiness.  I guess it's just a hiccup resulting from
the change in mail routing.
