Hello thanks for your help about my tapecycle question, I labeled my tapes and I think they are fine, tonight I'm going to test. My question now is that I would like to do monthly backups to be sure that always I have a least a copy from my data outside. I know that in this case I have to use another amanda configuration than the configuration that I have for my daily backup. I would like to have 12 tapes, one for every month. I'm not sure if use incremental and reuse tapes or full backup every month (maybe it is the best) I am thinking to use a script to put an condition for cron to switch between two configuration, but really I want to know if it is possible to do that (monthly backups) and if it is how can I set up the dumcycle and my runspercycle.
