It just dawned on me that I won't be in the office next Monday or Tuesday. I have a backup cronned for M-F at 1800. My first idea of what to do is just to leave the system alone, let it backup to disk Monday and Tuesday, and first thing Wednesday, amflush the backup to tape.
Is this okay to do? Is this what most folks are doing? I could also comment out the cron jobs for Monday and Tuesday easily enough. Would this be better?
