I was using Amanda 2.4.2p2 without any particular problem before few days ago, when I tried to use an HP C1557 DDS3 Autoloader 24x6. The backup subsystem is working pretty good, the only problem I have is with amcheck: if the HP is empty (without any mag. loaded) amcheck takes forever waiting a response from the unit. It seem to be an mtx problem (amcheck with a single tape works Ok, telling me that there is no medium). Amanda ver. 2.4.2p2 on a Linux RH 7.0 K 2.2. mtx ver. 1.2.13-1
