You can use different dump types for different disks.  In these special
dumptypes set the desired dumpcycle for that disk.  I used to do that and
it worked fine.  I like a short dumpcycle (fewer tapes for restores) but
I had a 36Gb disk that was fairly static.  I upped the dumpcycle for just
that one disk.
