Hi guys and gals, I've been using AMANDA for about 2 weeks. I had my first dump failures last night. Here's what they look like:
/-- reg //OUB1/complete lev 1 FAILED [/usr/bin/smbclient returned 1] sendbackup: start [reg://OUB1/complete level 1] sendbackup: info BACKUP=/usr/bin/smbclient sendbackup: info RECOVER_CMD=/usr/bin/smbclient -f... - sendbackup: info end | added interface ip=128.173.201.235 bcast=128.173.203.255 nmask=255.255.252.0 | added interface ip=192.168.1.44 bcast=192.168.1.255 nmask=255.255.255.0 ? protocol negotiation failed sendbackup: error [/usr/bin/smbclient returned 1] \-------- /-- reg //MRGRAY/complete lev 1 FAILED [/usr/bin/smbclient returned 1] sendbackup: start [reg://MRGRAY/complete level 1] sendbackup: info BACKUP=/usr/bin/smbclient sendbackup: info RECOVER_CMD=/usr/bin/smbclient -f... - sendbackup: info end | added interface ip=128.173.201.235 bcast=128.173.203.255 nmask=255.255.252.0 | added interface ip=192.168.1.44 bcast=192.168.1.255 nmask=255.255.255.0 ? Connection to MRGRAY failed sendbackup: error [/usr/bin/smbclient returned 1] \-------- The first one is an NT4 domain controller. The second is a win98se PC. Here's the odd part. Six other NT4 workstations, and 2 other win95 PCs dumped without any problems! All the machines have the exact same share (the entire c: drive same user/pass). Anyone else ever seen these errors? Thanks, Brad
