I thought that this was exactly what *wasn't* working for you (using 
amanda)?

Careful now.  Multiple command line exclusions may work running smbclient 
manually (and it probably says so in the samba docs), but amanda may not 
be able to handle this.  smbclient isn't part of amanda.  From the looks 
of the amandad*debug you sent (I think -- I've not been paying close 
attention to this thread), the multiple excludes created a malformed 
packet.  This is probably due to AMANDA only expecting one argument there, 
since multiple excludes (non samba of course) belong in an exclude list.

Or am I missing something?
