I got amanda to work with samba (thanks!) It did produce the following error however. I am not a Windows person so I don't know, but I presume from the file name that this is something to do with the Windows swap space and it is normal. If so, should I expect to see it every day, or is there a way to prevent it?

I ended up getting it to work by using: //zena/C It was just luck that I tried this because the examples I saw always referred to: //zena/C$ (or F$ or whatever) which did not work. Can anyone tell me what the C$ means and why (in my case) it worked only when I used C without the $ sign? Thanks, Dick
