I assume you're using chg-zd-mtx? What version of Amanda? Get a copy of the Amanda 2.4.3 beta. Save your current chg-zd-mtx.sh.in and replace it with the one from 2.4.3, then rerun ./configure, make and install. I'm almost positive this will be OK with 2.4.2p2 and is probably fine with earlier versions as well. Take a look at the comments in the script. They (try to) describe how to check things out with mtx and set up the Amanda script (if you have trouble with the comments, please let me know so I can improve them). You should get much better debug files in /tmp/amanda. If you continue to have trouble, please post exactly what's going wrong, the messages you're seeing and the corresponding debug file(s). >Peter John R.
