I can think of a couple of possibilities. One is that your tape server was rebooted while Amanda was running and amcleanup was run when it came back up. This would have processed any incomplete log file and could have generated such a report. Or your Amanda user may not have been able to write the log file for some reason, such as a full file system or maybe hitting a disk quota. Run "amgetconf <CONFIG> logdir" to find out where the log files go. Look at the log.YYYYMMDD.NN files in that directory, in particular the one that matches this report (if you can tell by the modification time, for instance). Amreport normally gets the start time from the START line. Anything odd about the file, like it doesn't have any START lines, or they are corrupt? John R.
