Problem:
The DIN-A4 tape label template doesn't have the same information
as the Letter template. File# and the sizes are missing.
Solution:
I have adjusted a copy of the Letter template to fit on an A4,
meaning it also contains file#, orig size and compressed size.
I called the new template 'A4.ps'.
Problem:
The HP-DAT template is a scaled-down version of the Exabyte,
also lacking at least File#. All file systems run down the left
column, page after page, before starting again in the right
column. The label must always be folded, even if only a few
file systems are used. It is not three pages long, but something
in between. It doesn't even fit properly in the case.
Solution:
I have adjusted a copy of the HP-DAT template:
a) It's not a scaled-down version of Exabyte, but rather a
full scale replica of a DAT label. This makes it less
confusing to make changes in fonts or size. It also fits
nicely in the case.
b) It switches column after reaching the bottom of the page,
meaning that two columns (65 file systems) are visible
on the first page without opening the case.
c) It dynamically adds new pages if the file systems overflow
a page. This means that there is no unnecessary folding.
I called the new template 'DAT.ps'.
Anyone interested in these new templates?
