did you try this from "man amanda"?
rawtapedev "string"
Default: /dev/null. The path name of the raw tape
device. This is only used if Amanda is compiled
for Linux machines with floppy tapes and is needed
for QIC volume table operations.
IIRC you need /dev/nrawqft0 as device. I've a abandoned but working
installation at home. I can send the configuration.
