It looks like either the tape drive or the SCSI bus reset itself. That means... yes, you guessed it... it's time to debug your SCSI bus! Oh, happy day! You lucky guy!![1] Err, sorry 'bout that. Check your cables. Check your termination. Check that any adapters (wide->narrow) actively terminate the high bits. And it may be time for another goat.
