Basically, amanda was able to communicate with those clients but didn't get anything meaningful back. Look in /tmp/amanda/amandad*debug, /tmp/amanda/sendsize*debug, and /tmp/amanda/sendbackup*debug on mov and rst and see if they shed any more light on what's going on.
