Hi All, I don't know if this might be more applicable on the hackers list, but here goes ..
I am busy getting amanda packages into a linux distribution (so that I don't have to rebuild software everytime I upgrade distros), but one of the policies is using versioned libraries. At the moment, amanda uses unversioned (*.so rather than *.so.[0-9][0-9]) libraries. Is the api so stable that there will never be incompatible versions of the library (in which case I will ignore the warnings), or is it just an oversight, or am I doing something wrong that I get unversioned libraries.
