Hi All,

Whenever I run amcheck, I get smbclient errors like this:

ERROR:intranet:[This client is not configured for samba: //clara1/Live]
ERROR:intranet:[This client is not configured for samba: //clara1/sql]
ERROR:intranet:[This client is not configured for samba:
//clara1/connwork]
ERROR:intranet:[SMBCLIENT program not available]

However, I built amanda with these options:
--with-smbclient=/usr/bin/smbclient --with-user=amanda
--with-group=amanda --with-config=Incremental

In /tmp/amanda the amandad.20020518120220.debug all of the paths look
correct:
paths: bindir="/usr/local/bin" sbindir="/usr/local/sbin"
amandad: libexecdir="/usr/local/libexec" mandir="/usr/local/man"
amandad: AMANDA_TMPDIR="/tmp/amanda" AMANDA_DBGDIR="/tmp/amanda"
amandad: CONFIG_DIR="/usr/local/etc/amanda" DEV_PREFIX="/dev/"
amandad: RDEV_PREFIX="/dev/" DUMP="/sbin/dump"
amandad: RESTORE="/sbin/restore" SAMBA_CLIENT="/usr/bin/smbclient"
amandad: GNUTAR="/bin/tar" COMPRESS_PATH="/bin/gzip"
amandad: UNCOMPRESS_PATH="/bin/gzip" MAILER="/usr/bin/Mail"
amandad: listed_incr_dir="/usr/local/var/amanda/gnutar-lists"

If I use smbclient from the commandline as amanda, it works fine. What I
noticed, however, was the permissions on the files in /tmp/amanda.
Everything is owned by amanda except for the amcheck.xx.debug files.
Those are owned/grouped by backup. If I run smbclient as backup, it
doesn't work. All of my config files have amanda as the user. Does
anyone know what the problem is?

Thanks,
Kenny
