It has a Powervault 122t/DLT VS-80 changer that seems to be working fine. Do you mean that I need to run amdump on the command line for these new directories? The chron job just started it and it loaded tape 1 and is writing to it. It seems after writing the first directory, it changes tape to write the next one? And so on till it is using tape 8 which never shows write activity. I am a real newbie at amanda. Thanks.
