Hi Richard - The cleaning frequency is based upon the number of hours that your drive is used. I clean my DDS4 drive every 3 months based on a Monday-Friday cycle (~60 days, roughly 3 hours per Amanda run). I'm certainly not an expert on this, so YMMV :) ps - I found my cleaning tape on mwave.com, it was a 4mm Sony tape. -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Doug Silver Network Manager Urchin Corporation http://www.urchin.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
