This is my first attempt at getting Amanda to work. I'm to the point
where I have backed up one of the client machines to the server. Now
I'm trying to access this backup from the client machine. The command I
am using on the client is -

# amrecover -C test -s oz.domain.edu -t giles.domain.edu -d /dev/nst1

"oz" is the client, "giles" is the server

When I run the command the following error is issued -

AMRECOVER Version 2.4.2p2. Contacting server on oz.domain.edu ...
amrecover: cannot connect to oz.domain.edu: Connection refused

Obviously the client is trying to contact itself. It has no server
software installed so it belches. I have used the -t option to tell
amrecover where the server is. I have also used the ./configure option

--with-tape-server=giles.domain.edu

What do I have to do to point amrecover to the server and not the
client?
Thanks,
kent
